Recently, three international standards in the field of electrical relays, led by China, were officially released. These include *Electrical Relays – Tests and Measurements – Part 6: Contact Circuit Resistance (or Voltage Drop)* (IEC 63522-6), *Electrical Relays – Tests and Measurements – Part 35: Resistance to Cleaning Solvents* (IEC 63522-35), and *Electrical Relays – Tests and Measurements – Part 36: Fire Hazard* (IEC 63522-36).
These three international standards fully consider the application requirements of electrical relays, specifying test conditions and procedures. They will serve as an important basis for performance evaluation by global manufacturers, users, and third-party testing institutions. Furthermore, these standards will help enhance the overall technical level, standardization, and product quality of China's electrical relay industry, significantly boosting its international competitiveness.
As core components of modern automation control systems, electrical relays are widely used in fields such as power protection, industrial equipment, and communication base stations to ensure circuit safety and stability. In high-voltage and high-current scenarios (e.g., power grids and high-speed railways), they provide overload protection to prevent equipment damage, making them crucial for the operational safety of key infrastructure in sectors like energy and transportation.
